The band formed when the infamous words were uttered "Let’s get the band back together again" or something reasonably close to that.
Training Team is about the songs. The band’s prolific catalog numbers in the hundreds, and encompasses many different styles and themes. The band prides itself on its versatility as well as its ability to find the right mood and style for each song. The band is equally adept at post punk Power pop as it is at Country ballads and offers sturdy and innovative musicianship, soaring guitars, tight harmonies and distinctive vocals through out. Themes can range from Dark (offering a chilling glimpse of a stalker’s psyche) to light( recalling the pain of being rejected by a lesbian). While usually avoiding social topics the band enjoys creating characters that are confused and conflicted and often defeated by the issues they face.
Training Team live show is part Concert and part Rock n Roll revival, the band enjoys an easy rapport with the audience that allows them to effortlessly switch between humor and seriousness as well as letting the audience be an active part of the experience. The band has in the past written songs on stage, offered parodies of classic hits and had "stunt guitar players " join the festivities.
